Virgin America SEA to LAX

Virgin America A320 from Seattle to Los Angeles
Used an award flight for positioning to LAX for a nice flight to ICN.

It was a very easy early morning check-in at the automated VX counter.
Punched in the numbers and out came a boarding card.

VX planes are located at the newer A gate section at SEA.

Decent legroom and nice IFE with lots of options, though you need to pay for most of them.

Nice paint job on the Frontier plane!

Purplish mood lighting on the plane which also changes color.
Much more interesting than the sterile and boring interiors of the legacy carriers.

Love the wingtip design!

Approaching LAX.
The map is really useful as we could see which cities are below us.
Map is very detailed and shows cities, landmarks, even highways.
It would be nice if all planes have this feature.

Hard to see but the famous white Hollywood sign is in the photo above.
VX counter at the LAX gates.
Would definitely fly VX for domestic US, so much better than the legacy carriers.
The only drawback is that it is not possible to earn miles with the major airline alliances.
