Singapore Airlines First Suites Narita to Los Angeles

Singapore Airlines First Suites Narita to Los Angeles

As part of my trip from SIN to LAX, I continued on SQ 12 A380 Suites to LAX.

After check-in, we used the premier security line.
There was not much difference here as it was off-peak hours and the normal lines also had no queues.

We headed straight to the ANA suite lounge on the upper levels.

The layout is quite similar to the business lounge except that the Suites lounge is way less crowded and with personal service from the attendants. There are also shower rooms available.
I had to wait about 5 to 10 minutes as the rooms were all taken up.
ANA also provided a small set of nice Shiseido brand shower kit, in addition to the ones already available in the shower room.
Very nice touch!

Let's see, for lunch, there was quite a large selection of food, from Japanese noodles to western style sandwiches.
The noodle bar had made to order noodles and rice dishes.
Food selection and quality were also much higher than in the business lounge (which was quite a disappointment).

Headed down to the boarding gate which was just below the Suites Lounge.

Back to seat 3A
Highly recommend the movies "12 Golden Ducks" and "Kingsman".

This time I selected the Japanese meal Kyo-kaiseki which turned out to be excellent and much better than the lobster thermidor.

Started off with satay which is always served regardless of the meal choice.
Good idea. :)

Breakfast before landing at LAX.

It was a very nice flight and a great trip overall!

Singapore Airlines First class Suites SIN to NRT

Singapore Airlines First class Suites SIN to NRT

Singapore Airlines was the first airline I had traveled on, back when I was a kid.
We traveled to Perth on Economy class and it was such a thrill.

Years later, I have the chance to get on SQ First Suites from SIN to LAX.
Quite a change between the years!

Situated at Changi Airport T3 is a very nice looking reception area for First class pax on SQ.
Very much nicer than having to queue at the gates for check in.
An employee would process all the necessary documents and there was also a private check-in area to get through security.
Very nice!
 I love Terminal 3!
It is most definitely one of the best looking airport terminals in the world.

SQ F pax are invited to the Private Room, a secluded section located inside the Silver Kris lounge.

A hostess led me to a seat and asked if I wanted any breakfast.
The service was very good and names were used the whole time instead of just "sir".
For breakfast, local food such as Laksa, Nasi lemak, roti prata were all available as well as western style dishes.
I opted for waffles!

There was a separate dining room but I opted to sit at a lounge chair with a small table.
Private Room is very much quieter and less crowded than the Silver Kris lounge which had biz class pax and other Star alliance pax.
Silver Kris lounge was very crowded in comparison.

Time to board the plane!
The FAs already knew my name when I got on board!

Throughout the flight, I was always addressed by name
 Very impressive.
Seat 3A on the A380 is much better than 1A or 2A if you like windows.
There are 3 windows at 3A as opposed to 2 on the other window seats.

There were only three other pax on the flight in Suites.
Restrooms were behind seat 4, near the galley which was different from most First class layouts where there is a restroom up front.

The pajamas do run large for asians and personally, I felt the quality was not all that nice compared to Korean Air's pajamas.
There was also a nice Ferragamo amenity kit, differentiated for men and women.

Here are some drinks selection from the menu.
There is a very large selection of teas and coffee including some cocktail type drinks.

Takeoff from Changi airport, bye Singapore!

I had preordered the Boston Lobster Thermidor which seems to be a rite of passage for first time travelers on SQ F. ;)

Several appetizers were offered such as satay and soup. There was also salad which I had declined.
The satay was really good! Two sticks of chicken and one of mutton.
I should have asked for more. :)

Crab appetizer which wasnt all that great.
 Very good Chinese abalone soup.
 The famed Boston Lobster Thermidor!
The lobster was actually a little dry and it was not the best I had.
Next time, I would go for the Kyo Kaiseiki meal which was very good.

Krisworld entertainment system was very impressive, a huge array of latest movies as well as classics.
So much better than ANA and KE.

I also asked for teddy bears and got a set of blue bears.
The fur feels nicer than they look.

Welcome to Japan!
Nice to be back again!
